Linklater continues to innovate in this new hybrid of Errol Morris style documentary and fiction hydra.  I really felt like I was seeing something new, and like most of the audience, was shocked by the reveal that the extras filling in the story with B-roll were all real people talking about the real Bernie.  This is far and away the most exquisite hybrid of its type, and I can’t wait to see what Linklater does next (his third installment of the Sunrise/Sunset series).
